Drought affects Hungarian lake

Velence (Hungary), 05/05/2026.- Dry mud flat appears on the shore of Lake Velence, in Velence, Hungary, 05 May 2026. Due to the lack of spring rains, the water level stands at 67 centimeters, which is almost sixty centimetres less than the lake depth measured in early May of 2025.
