75 YEARS AGO, THE AMERICAN AUTHOR MARK TWAIN DIED IN REDDINGThe famous American writer Mark Twain died in Redding / Connecticut 75 years ago, on April 1910. Born on November 30 th, 1835 in Florida, he already had many adventure when he was still very young. From 1857 - 1860, he had been a paddle-steamer pilot on the Mississippi, before he participated in the war of sucession fighting for the confederates. Then, he became journalist and writer. Numerous study trips led him also to Europe. He wrote down his experience wich he had during his journeys, and also the adventures of his youth, ein an expressive way. But most of all, his novels "Tom Sawyer's adventure" and "The adventures of Huckleberry Finn" became famous, and they are still very demanded for young people of nowadays. KEYSTONE
