Abidjan-Bamako trade corridor paralyzed as Mali blockade continues
Abidjan (Cote D'ivoire), 15/05/2026.- Dozens of loaded trucks are parked outside the Autonomous Port of Abidjan in Port-Bouet, Ivory Coast, 15 May 2026, as freight traffic on the vital Abidjan-Bamako corridor continues to stall. The decline in transport is driven by a security crisis in neighboring Mali, where armed groups imposed a full blockade on the Malian capital Bamako on 28 April 2026.
