Thailand eyes lifting face mask mandate in June

Bangkok, May 25 (EFE/EPA).- The Public Health Ministry plans to lift the requirement to wear face masks from mid-June 2022. This will allow people to gradually start taking off their face masks while wearing a mask will be recommended for people with underlying diseases, the elderly and pregnant women, as well as in crowded places and poorly ventilated spaces.

The Thai government intends to declare the COVID -19 pandemic an endemic disease by July 2022. (Camera: RUNGROJ YONGRIT).
