Temperatures go down in Spanish region of Catalonia after record-breaking weekend

Barcelona (Spain), May 23 (EFE).- The Spanish region of Catalonia on Monday registered a drop in temperatures compared to the ones reached over the weekend.

The heatwave that Catalonia experienced the past weekend has broken temperature records for May, and the Fabra Observatory in Barcelona registered on Sunday 34.4 degrees Celsius, which is an absolute maximum recorded in the last 108 years.
