Chiclayo, May 10 (EFE).- Pope Leo XIV will carry forward the compassion he showed toward Venezuelan migrants in Peru around the world, assured Bishop Edinson Farfán Córdova of Chiclayo, successor to Robert Prevost in the diocese, during a press conference on Friday.

"From the time he was a bishop, even as a very young missionary, he has always been aware of the reality of the poor, always compassionate toward migrants. When he was bishop of Chiclayo, he fully dedicated himself to helping create projects to support migrants," Farfán explained to media from around the world in the northern town in Peru.
