Pilgrims return to El Ghriba after two years of pandemic

Yerba (Tunisia), May 18 (EFE), (Camera: Mohamed Messara).- The old synagogue of El Ghriba has resumed the pilgrimage after a two-year break due to the pandemic.

It does so this Wednesday to commemorate the holy day of Lag B'Omer, in the Tunisian city of Djerba.

The historic Ghriba Synagogue is said to have been built by Jews fleeing the destruction of Solomon's Temple in 586 BC.
