MEXICO MIGRATION

Miskito migrants in Mexico cling to their culture while waiting to go to US

Tijuana, May 28 (EFE).- Hundreds of migrants of the Miskito ethnic group, from the indigenous region of Honduras, live in several shelters in the border city of Tijuana, northern Mexico, and despite being so far from their country, they maintain the uses of their mother tongue and maintain their customs, while waiting to cross into the United States.

These migrants stay together, protect each other, and are considered the silent displaced people of the Central American migration. (Camera: ISRAEL MARTINEZ PAEZ).
