Indonesians rally in support of Palestine in Jakarta's National Monumental Park | Video

Jakarta, Nov 5 (EFE/EPA).- On Sunday, Indonesians joined in a show of solidarity during a pro-Palestinian rally at Jakarta's National Monument Park.

Participants could be seen waving Palestinian flags in support of the conflict.

The rally was a response to the latest upsurge in violence, which has caused significant casualties on both sides since early October.

The conflict escalated when Hamas, designated a terrorist organisation by several countries, including the United States and the European Union, launched an intense attack on Israel from the Gaza Strip on 7 October.

The situation has raised international concern and led to rallies such as the one in Jakarta, as citizens around the world express their reactions and leaders seek a path to de-escalation. (Camera: ADI WEDA).
