Hurricane leaves ten dead in Mexico after unusual path

Mexico City, Sep 25 (EFE).- The passage of Hurricane John in Mexico has already left ten dead, eight in the state of Guerrero and two more in Oaxaca, according to authorities.

Hurricane John has had an unusual trajectory: after making landfall on Monday night as a Category 3 hurricane and dissipating, the storm surged out of its remnants on Wednesday as a Category 1 hurricane and was still circulating on Thursday.

Two people have died,' Oaxaca's secretary of government, Jesús Romero López, said in a report; the victims were an elderly woman and a man, who was swept away by the current of a river. (Camera: DAVID GUZMÁN).
