Guatemala's president-elect appeals to Supreme Court to stop legal action against electoral process

Guatemala City, Sep 18 (EFE).- Guatemala's president-elect, Bernardo Arévalo de León, presented an appeal to the Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ) on Monday, requesting a halt to legal actions by the Public Prosecutor's Office (Fiscalía) against the electoral process.

He also thanked the thousands of citizens who accompanied him for joining him in "defending democracy". (Camera: ESTEBAN BIBA).
