Dominique Pelicot to give final statement in mass rape trial

Avignon, France, Nov 20 (EFE) - The 49th session of the Dominique Pelicot trial began in Avignon on Wednesday, with the defendant expected to make his final statement.

Pelicot is accused of drugging his former wife, Gisèle Pelicot, with sleeping pills in order to rape her and of offering to do the same to dozens of men, 50 of whom are accused.
