SPAIN LOTTERY NON-PAYMENT

Complaints rise to 43 over non-payment of winning lottery tickets by a rugby club in Bizkaia

Bilbao, May 6 (EFE).- The Arratiko Zekorrak rugby team, based in Igorre (Bizkaia), has apologized for the error in the sale and non-payment of winning shares in the Christmas Lottery, and will propose a solution “as soon as possible” to those affected, who have already filed a total of 43 complaints with the Ertzaintza.

The Basque police have launched an investigation after consolidating these complaints into a single report, regarding a possible fraud offense involving the non-payment of winning tickets—worth approximately 2.3 million euros—from the Christmas Lottery, which were sold by the Igorre rugby team.
