Chinese tourists flood Bangkok as flight frequency rises

Bangkok, May 8 (EFE/EPA).- Chinese tourists have been visiting popular attractions like the Emerald Buddha Temple at the Grand Palace in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand recently announced plans for Chinese airlines to increase their flight frequency to Thailand, with 430 flights per week starting June 1, 2023.

This substantial increase in flights is expected to significantly boost Thailand's tourism industry, which heavily depends on international visitors.

The surge in Chinese tourists will aid the country's economic recovery and support local businesses that have been impacted by the pandemic in recent years. (Camera: NARONG SANGNAK).
