CAMBODIA ANNIVERSARY

Cambodia commemorates National Remembrance Day for Khmer Rouge terror

Dangkao, May 20 (EFE/EPA).- Cambodians on Friday observed the annual National Day of Remembrance, also known as the Day of Anger, to commemorate the victims who died during the rule of the Khmer Rouge regime from 1975 to 1979.

It is estimated that about two million Cambodians died of starvation and forced labour or were killed by politically justified executions during the Khmer Rouge regime. (Camera: KITH SEREY).
