Annual Pahiyas Festival in honour of San Isidro Labrador in Philippines

Quezon (Philippines), May 14 (EFE/EPA) - (Camera: Rolex Delapena) Dancers from a local brass band perform in the streets on the eve of the Pahiyas Festival and giant puppets are presented in the municipality of Lucban, Quezon province, Philippines.

The Pahiyas Festival is held annually in Quezon in honour of San Isidro Labrador, patron saint of farmers. Agricultural produce is displayed on the facades of houses to express gratitude for a good harvest, while parades and street dances in the communities add to the celebrations.
