Boston (USA), Oct 1 (EFE/EPA) - Tens of thousands of stevedores at 14 major ports in the eastern United States and the Gulf of Mexico began a total strike early this morning in the absence of an agreement between the International Longshoremen's Association (ILA) and the US Maritime Alliance (USMX).

Baltimore (US), Oct 1 (EFE).- Tens of thousands of longshoremen at 14 major ports in the eastern United States and the Gulf of Mexico began a strike early this morning due to the lack of agreement between the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) union and the USMX (US Maritime Alliance) employers’ association.
