Death toll from floods in Malaysia, Thailand climbs to 12

Bangkok, Nov 30 (EFE).- The death toll from floods affecting northern Malaysian and southern Thailand has climbed to 12, official data released by both countries showed Saturday.

Pasir Puteh (Malaysia), Nov 30 (EFE/EPA) - Torrential rains in Malaysia have displaced more than 122,000 people in nine states, reported the National Disaster Control Center (NDCC). The worst affected region is the state of Kelantan.

Authorities have confirmed three deaths related to the disaster, while rescue efforts are intensifying in the affected areas.
